The company is engaged in the implementation and improvement of irrigation systems. It was founded by the Government of Navarre in 1984 to promote and carry out the implementation and improvement of irrigation systems as indispensable factors for the future of rural development in the autonomous region. Its headquarters is located in Villava/Attarabia, Spain. The company's responsibilities include the development, implementation and improvement of irrigation through the development of studies, advice from technical, financial and management and direct outputs; propose to the Government of Navarre measures at any time deemed necessary to promote irrigation; promote outreach programs new irrigation and irrigation systems more suitable for achieving a more rational use of water resources; connect irrigated agriculture with agribusiness; as well as exercise the functions delegated by the Government of Navarre relating to irrigation, including planning; and setting the authorization of the Government of Navarra, agreements or partnerships with government agencies, companies with appropriate technologies, promotion agencies and technological development, research, and any others who may contribute to the development of irrigation in Navarre.
